You helped me realize that I stopped leading and got too comfortable. I have worked on my shortcomings and what I did wrong to right them, but it unfortunately was not enough to save my marriage. Before I came to Lesli, the threat of separation was becoming very close to happening. We had frequent arguments, often in front of our young children. There were trust issues, unresolved conflicts from the past, and a lack of understanding of what the other was trying to say. As we continued to create distance from each other, we were seriously questioning whether the marriage was still worth working on.
Through her coaching, Lesli has taught me how to communicate more effectively. There are fewer arguments and we routinely take time out for each other to listen and respond to our feelings more productively. I have gained a set of tools to use to work as a team in my marriage.
