Stressed spelled backward is desserts. Loreta Laroche
The countdown to the holidays and the end of the year is in full force. For many, it means the stress is ramping up as well. Maybe that’s you. Or your wife.
The holiday celebrations.
The shopping.
The cleaning.
The decorating.
Trips to the post office to mail packages and cards.
Travel plans.
Family get togethers.
The cold and shorter days.
It can be a lot. But you don’t want it to be too much. You don’t want it to put your marriage over the edge.
So, what can you do?
Being told to just not let things stress you out or not do certain things may seem logical. It just doesn’t land well.
The better choice? Add some fun and laughter to make things easier. For everyone.
Make a game out of cleaning up. Get everyone involved. Assign tasks and have a race to see who finishes first. Winner gets to pick their prize.
Watch a holiday movie as a family.
Have a cookie making party.
Put away the electronics and play a game like Charades.
Go outside. Take a walk. Sled. Build a snowman or have a snowball fight. Have a dance party. Anything that gets you moving.
Make hot chocolate. Have a pillow fight. Share your funniest holiday stories.
Lighten things up as you create new, happy memories with your loved ones.
You’ve got this. But if you don’t, I’ve got you. Let me know if the stress of the holidays is creating challenges.
